ZAP! Music's work ranges from
composing for film and theatre to television and corporate
videos covering a vast range of musical styles represented
by the company's diverse team of composers and instrumentalists.
The score for 'Risk Everything' was written
by Adam McGuinness and Zia Hawker who were classically
trained at London University, Oxford University and
the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where between
them, they studied composition, jazz history, piano,
violin, clarinet, saxophone and accordion. Their work
includes scores for theatre productions of 'Macbeth',
'Romeo and Juliet', 'The Winter's Tale', 'The Little
Prince' and 'Big Boys'. Short films include
'Photographing Me' and 'Seascapes' directed
by Abbi Van Walsum, a number of shorts for 'Two Hats
Film and TV' plus adverts - including the promotion
of the Commonwealth Games. They have also written and
performed arrangements for various albums including
the jazz album 'Urban Symphonies'. Adam also
works as a freelance musical director and his past productions
include, 'Guys and Dolls', 'Oklahoma!', 'Annie Get
Your Gun', 'Music Man', 'Sweet Charity' and 'Anything
Goes'.
